  1. Paul Andrews says:

“Steven King is on record as opposing Barack Obama’s election in 2008 for fear that his middle name would somehow encourage Muslim terrorists.

Well, by that same logic, you should not vote for someone named King — it might revive false hopes among the British royalty that Americans are losing our taste for independence.”

I wanted to share this with everyone.
    From Christie Vilsack.

The support Iowans from across the state have shown my campaign is truly humbling. I’m proud to say that thanks to you we’re in a great position headed into the 2012 election year.

Today, we announced that our campaign has raised $400,000 in the 4th quarter of 2011 bringing the total raised for 2011 to over $1 million. Our cash on hand for the year totals over $750,000.

As I continue to travel across Iowa’s Fourth District announcing policy proposals including doubling apprenticeships for Iowans, advancing economic development and job creation by investing in infrastructure, and advocating for Missouri River flood relief, it’s your support that motivates me to go to Washington to fight everyday to ensure the best policies, not politics, are put in place to ensure future generations can work and raise a family in Northwest Iowa.

    Thanks again.

    Sincerely,
    Christie
